Changing Kiosk From Handset to Speakerphone Configuration
This guide provides a breakdown of the wiring changes to convert a handset kiosk to a speakerphone kiosk.
This configuration change will require an additional auxiliary audio cable to be added to the configuration. Refer to the chart at the bottom of the article regarding wiring schematics.
The Green arrows in this guide indicates the changes you will need to make.
Microphone Cables
- Identify the plug connected to the Y cable that has the a microphone symbol.
- Disconnect the microphone cable connection from the Y cable.
- Plug in the new auxiliary audio cable into the port.
- Connect the otherside of the auxiliary audio cable to the PC module's microphone auxiliary port, typically colored pink.
Speaker Cables
- Disconnect the Handset's speaker connection from the Y cable.
- Identify the Y cable that combines the left and right connections from the amplifier. Typically these are thicker cables.
- Disconnect the Y cable and directly connect the speaker cable to the Amplifier's audio port.
