Configuring ALICE Avatar Message When Selecting a Contact Card
The guide will walk through configuring the "Play Video on Click" option that plays ALICE Avatar messages when a contact card is selected.
In addition to the ALICE avatar messages that can be configured in the Menu Buttons section and Language section of the ALICE Configuration tool, additional ALICE avatar messages can be played when a contact card is selected.
To create new custom ALICE Avatar videos, please contact the ALICE support team for more details.
- If you've created custom ALICE Avatar videos, verify the videos are located on the ALICE Directory Kiosk PC. Copy the file path to each video as they will be needed later in the configuration process.
- Log into the ALICE Portal as an ALICE Administrator or Client Admin.
- Using the left navigation panel, open the Directory Management section and select the Directories option.
- Select the Companies, Departments, or Employees tab depending on the contact card you wish to create or edit.
- To create a new card, select the orange Add button. To modify an existing card, use the blue pencil edit icon on the contact card you wish to modify.
- In the new pop-up window, toggle the"Play "Video on Click" option to on.
Contact cards set to card actions of "None," "Call," or "Ring Group" do not allow for "Play Video on Click" settings. To customizable Avatar messages related to calling, refer to the Language section of the ALICE Configuration
- A new field will appear. Insert the file path for the video located on the ALICE Directory Kiosk PC.
- Example: C:\Program Files (x86)\WinTech LLC\Alice\Directory\Content\CardVideos\Deliveries.mp4
- Select Save to finalize the contact card settings.
The ALICE Directory PC will update with the new settings within the next 60 minutes, or once the ALICE Directory has been restarted.
