Creating a Custom Welcome Video
This article discusses how to request and implement a custom welcome video.
Custom welcome videos are the greeting ALICE plays when motion is detected, welcoming visitors and walking them through their first step, whether that is finding a person in the Company Directory, checking-in, or selecting Receptionist if they are not visiting anyone specific.
Every new ALICE customer is entitled to one free custom welcome video. Editing the custom video or producing additional videos have a fee.
Creating A Welcome Video
Contact the ALICE support team to receive a confirmation form to fill out. On that form, you will:
- Choose an avatar
- Review and personalize a script
- Sign and return the form
Once we receive your completed form, we will build the video and let you know when it is ready.
Installing the Custom Welcome Video
- Close the ALICE Receptionist software on the ALICE kiosk.
- Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\WinTech LLC\Alice\Directory\Content\Videos\
- Select the folder for the language and avatar your team is currently using.
- Locate "WelcomeMessage.mp4"
- Rename the file to "WelcomeMessageold.mp4"
- Rename your custom video to "WelcomeMessage.mp4" exactly.
- Move the welcome video file into the folder.
- Relaunch the ALICE Directory.
