Adjusting Call Time Outs

This article walks through how to set the time limit on calls from the ALICE Kiosk.

By default, calls are automatically timed out after 5 minutes. This prevents the ALICE system from unintentionally maintaining a connection to an employee's phone or voicemail.

This process allows you to adjust that time.

  1. On the ALICE Kiosk, close the ALICE Directory.
  2. Launch the ALICE Configuration and select the Advanced section.
  3. Select the Communications tab.
  4. Change the "Call TimeOut (seconds)" number to the time it will automatically disconnect the call in seconds. 

To disable call time out, set the seconds to 0.
