Implementing Custom Receptionist Avatar Videos

This article walks through how to update the ALICE Receptionist avatar videos with custom videos.

  1. Close the ALICE Receptionist software on the ALICE kiosk.
  2. Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\WinTech LLC\Alice\Directory\Content\Videos\
  3. Select the folder for the avatar you would like to replace.
    • You can see the avatar's group and name in the ALICE Configuration tool's Languages section.
    • Some videos may be located in the "Menu Button" Folder listed within the languages.
  4. Rename the existing avatar video you want to replace to [filename]old.mp4
    • Example: WelcomeMessageold.mp4
  5. Rename your custom video to the exact name of the file you're replacing.
    1. Example: WelcomeMessage.mp4 

    The custom file name must exactly match the name of the file it's replacing.
