Missing ALICE Avatar from ARD
If your ALICE Receptionist Avatar stops showing up on, follow these steps to correct it.
We are aware there is an issue that can cause the ALICE Receptionist Avatar to disappear from the ALICE screen. This happens when the file that displays the ALICE Avatar becomes corrupted.
This is an open issue that our development team is actively working to address. Until a patch is released, you can follow these steps to resolve the issue on your system.
Download this File to correct this issue. videoplayer.html
If the file opens in a new browser window, simply right click on the browser window and select the Save As menu to save the file.

To fix this issue follow these steps.
Use “Heading 4” to Further Divide Content within a Section
When creating steps, keep them as simple and short as possible.
- Download this file: videoplayer.html file from the ALICE Receptionist servers.
- Close the ALICE Receptionist Directory application on your ALICE system.
- Copy the videoplayer.html file to the ALICE Receptionist machine.
- Copy to: C:\Program Files (x86)\WinTech LLC\Alice\Directory\Content\Videos
- When prompted to overwrite the existing file, choose "Yes".
- Restart the ALICE Receptionist software.
Your ALICE Receptionist avatar should now be back on your screen.
