Replacing the Employee Card with an Image or Logo
This article walks through assigning an image to an Employee card.
This article only refers to assigning full card images to individual Employee contact cards.
- For Company and Department cards, refer to the online documentation portal's Company and Department sections.
- To replace an employee's photo, refer to the online documentation portal's Employee section.
- To replace the background image for all Employee cards, refer to the ALICE Configuration's Layout settings on the Online Documentation Portal.
- Log into the ALICE Portal as an ALICE Admin.
- Create or edit the Employee contact card.
- Set the "Card State" to Name Hidden.
- Copy the username for the card and rename the image file with the Employee's username.
- Example: John.Doe.jpg
- On the ALICE Kiosk, close the ALICE Directory and open Windows File Explorer.
- Navigate to "C:\Program Files (x86)\WinTech LLC\Alice\Directory\Content\Photos"

Place the image that will be displayed on the Employee Card card into the Photos folder.
- The image should be in a .jpg format.
- The image should be named after the username of the Employee card that it will display on.
- The image should match the card size for Employee Directory on your ALICE Directory.
- The dimensions are typically:
- Large cards (Default): 400x130
- Small cards: 300x97 for large cards.
- Custom sizes: Refer to the ALICE Configuration's layout options to identify your system's card width and height. You can learn more about these settings on the ALICE Documentation portal.
